The story of Anthrax Vertical didn’t begin in a boardroom; it was forged on jagged ridgelines and born out of necessity. Long before the first spool of thread was loaded into our machines, we were just a tight-knit group of friends chasing the snowline and pushing our limits on alpine trails. We knew the stinging bite of the wind at high altitudes and the relentless friction of a poorly placed seam at mile forty of an ultra-marathon. We realized that standard, off-the-rack gear simply wasn’t built for the way we moved, and it certainly didn’t reflect the unique identity of the crews we suffered alongside.

Back in our Thessaloniki facility, surrounded by the hum of our sportswear production lines, we started experimenting. We took the technical knowledge we had spent over a decade perfecting and pointed it directly at the mountains. We obsessed over breathability profiles, tested abrasion-resistant textiles against coarse rock, and tweaked fits until they felt like a second skin. Every prototype was taken out into the wild, dragged through the mud, soaked in alpine storms, and rigorously punished by the very athletes who designed it. Only when a garment survived our own brutal standards did it earn the right to carry the Vertical name.
